Generally speaking, I'm happy with my Sky BB, but the thing which is really annoying me is the constant disconnects I'm getting.
Only once in the two weeks since I was activated have I got through 24 hours without having to reboot the router, even though the connection speeds in the evening were painfully slow.
Mostly, I can do a software reboot, but sometimes it is impossible to access the configuration pages, so all I can do is unplug it.
What I was wondering was if there is a way to set the router to automatically reboot when the connection is lost or perhaps to schedule regular reboots whether it is connected or not.
I'm sure that Sky will sort out their teething troubles eventually, but in the meantime I would like a way to make sure that my connection stays active.

Use a time-switch (i.e. on your mains socket). I used to have a dodgy old Linksys router years ago which would lock up after a few days use, so I set the time switch to turn it off and on again at 4am. Problem "solved".

Doh! Why didn't I think of that?
Fantastic idea, moshady. I've got a spare timer plug, so I'll give it a try.
