Question Sagem Router how to Schedule wireless on/off?

Hi I`ve got a sky sagem router.
Is it possible to set up a schedule to turn off the wireless signal at a certain time so i can stop the kids stopping up on the pc/ps3?
If not is there any software out there that i can use?
      Thanks

No and doubt it unfortunately. You can get software for PCs that limit access times for kids but you cannot just turn on/ off the wireless.

You can't block the wireless but you can block sites by schedule by using keywords, that may slow them down a bit.

Re: Sagem Router how to Schedule wireless on/off?

You should be able to block the kids internet access by schedule using an outbound firewall rule.

First thing you'd have to go into LAN IP SETUP and use the address reservation option to set fixed lan IP addresses for each of the PCs and games consoles that you wish to block (you'll need to identify their MAC addresses). Id suggest allocating them adjacent IP addresses as it will simplify the firewall rules.

For the Sake of this example I'll assume you have three devices that you wish to restrict and assign them the IP addresses: 192.168.0.10 , 192.168.0.11 and 192.168.0.12

Next select "firewall rules" in the router's web interface.

Click on the add button under Outbound Services to start creating a new outbound firewall rule.

      Set the service to "any(all)".
Set Action to "allow by Schedule, otherwise block".
Set LAN Users to "Address range".
Set the Start address to 192.168.0.10
Set the end address to 192.168.0.12
Set WAN servers (may be called WAN users) to "Any"
      Set LOG to "never".

      Then click apply.

Next click on Schedule in the router's menu, untick "all day" and enter the start and end times that you wish to allow the kids internet access.
