      Sagem router - possible faulty?

      Hi,
Just got sky broadband activated today. Wired up my router, everything looked ok.. until it failed to connect. Wanting to troubleshoot it I tried to login to the router via ethernet and my computer (also tried 2 laptops with different OS's). The problem is I cant connect at all to the router via ethernet. The ethernet light goes on and looks fine, but there is no DHCP address and I cant connect at all to 192.168.0.1 (tried several different versions and nothing comes up on ipconfig /all).

I consider myself to be very computer friendly so I know my router stuff, I think possibly the router is faulty but wanted to double check with you people before I ring up sky and moan.

      Cheers,
      Tom

I'm no expert but it's probably worth phoning Sky anyway as it might be that they've not set it all up properly or something. The last couple of times i've rang them i've got through straight away so not much hassle.

Nothing to do with them setting it up if it wont even connect to a PC.

Try to reset it, power it up and hold the red rest button down on the back for 10 seconds, you may need a paperclip or biro to do it. The lights should flash as it resets.

Reset it, still can't connect. Exact same situation!

Well I'll just phone up sky.
