    what router do sky send out now?

    This is a discussion on what router do sky send out now? within the Sky Router forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; my friend has signed up and wants to know what router to expect do they still send out DG834GT? thanks...

      what router do sky send out now?

      my friend has signed up and wants to know what router to expect

      do they still send out DG834GT?

      No, they don't send out the DG834GT anymore. It'll likely be a D-Link DSL-2640S. They still issue the Sagem F@ST 2504 and Netgear V2 DG934G, so it is still luck of the draw what you receive.

      Anyone I know who has just got Sky broadband has got the new D-Link DSL-2640S router, me included. I find it perfectly adequate and better than I had expected.

      Just got one of these D-Link DSL-2640S routers after our v1 netgear started acting weird. The D-Link appears to be more responsive and the wireless for us seems to be better than the netgear.
      The only thing i have spotted is our line attenuation though is being shown slightly higher than the netgear did!

      Having used the Netgear DG834GT with my last ISP. I too found that Sky's D-Link router gives me a slightly better wireless range than the Netgear.
