      Router dropping connection

      Hi,

Recently my router has started dropping it's connection. When it does loose connection it goes offline (eg, wireless goes offline), then it reappears, except when it doesn't, and when it doesn't I can't access at all, my mac doesn't think it's connected to a router at all, via wireless or ethernet. On off/on-again, all 4 ethernet ports light up as green and that's all that happens, regardless of what may or may not be plugged in ports wise.

It'll be like this for an indeterminate amount of time, but then will suddenly work again, until the next time.

It's a Sagem modem, prob 2 years old or thereabouts.

Any ideas what it might be?

      Cheers,

      Jon

      Re: Router dropping connection

These are the symptoms of a faulty PSU. If you have a spare 12v one lying around that will fit, try it. Call Sky explain what is happening and they will send you a new one.
