    Sagem router not connecting

      Sagem router not connecting

      Any help would hugely appreciated with this.
      I've had the sagem router for over a year and it was fine. My pc was running fine and our laptop was picking up a decent connection anywhere in the house.
      We just had our sky tv box upgraded, the guy set up the interactive tv and ever since, the wireless connection has been terrible. The laptop will sometimes connect but only in a certain place.
      Trying different things we uplugged, then plugged back in, the network cable on the router. I now have no internet connection on the pc. The router is going from 'limited or no connection' to 'network cable unplugged'.

      My first problem is getting the pc to connect again? and the second problem is the dodgy wireless connection to the laptop when the pc sorted?

      Thanks in advance for any advice! This is driving me crazy.

      Could be a dodgy PSU, sky will send you a new one if you phone them up about it, what lights do you have on the router?
      Have you tried changing the wireless channel on the router also?
      If the sky tv was connected to the phone line is it connected via a filter?

      Hi thanks for replying. The lights on the router are changing every second. I've got power, tick and '1' on green while @ is flashing amber. Then @ goes green for about a second but then the power and tick lights go out then it just does the same cycle again.
      I've tried repairing the connection but i'm just getting error messages.
      I've not tried changing the channel, will try it if I can ever get the pc to reconnect.
      The tv was only momentarily connected for the setup then disconnected since we don't use the interactive tv, would that have still caused the connection to weaken?
      Sorry for the non-technical descriptions.

      And the PSU is only about a month old and has been working fine

      You might also want to try resetting the router using the hole on the back of it (hold it for at least 50 seconds) and see if that sorts it out.
