      My understanding is that whether you reboot it via the http://192.168.0.1 or by unplugging the cable or even pressing the reset button on the back momentarily (nothing more, you don't want to erase your settings) will all do the same trick and in effect reboot the router, causing it to "resync".

      Thanks for this - I have just enabled my connectoion this morning (moved from Pipex ) now have the connect 40 GB package.
      I tried the link but it ain't working.
      The supplied CD is a dud and I have no info on getting into the router (sagem phase 2 UOM 1=1)
      any ideas ?

      No, you are on Sky's LLU package not Sky Connect and you do not reboot the router during the DLM process, in fact I would strongly advise turning off or re-syncing the router during this time as DLM may see it as a fault and reduce your speed.
