ah ok, i guess ill be resetting my router every 2 or 3 days then for about a week and a half just to be sure, i know this is going to sound stupid but im a logical thinker...

How exactly does interupting the conversation by resetting the router help the conversation?

Reboot router daily
Forget about stability, transfer speeds, latency

Days 11 - 13
Don't reboot router so your exchange IP speed can adjust to its fullest

Day 14
Carry out speed tests
Enjoy your connection

When should the training period start? I have been using the line with Pipex modem since activation date but router did not connect until several days later. Is it from the first time router said hello or from when line was used?

Since then too I have been using 2 routers to try to sort out some problems (Sky sent me a replacent to try). Is the training router-specific?

Also how does a router reset affect things? Is it back to day one after a reset? I mean by pressing the button in the back as opposed to reboot.

Day 40 ?

What about when you get to Day 40? I think they may have missed me out.
The Day 1- 14 is total Rubbish, and its just to cover their backs.

I've been on line for a few weeks but to start with i was turning my router off after finished on my comp.

My sync speeds have always been 8128down and 448up.

I'm using the tool now to track it just to make sure it stays true and so far i only have 2 straight lines.. no devations at all.

So does this mean i'm syncing at pretty much max for the conect package?

Also at the moment that BT page is down:

Performance Tester is unavailable at the current time

Apologies, but the performance tester application is currently down for urgent maintenance. Please try again later.

I'm guessing the user name is not they one the tell you at the start?

I would be interested to see what my IP profile is like as i got 673bps (0.673k) yesturday and 850kbps today!

Can anyone tell me if this training routine is router specific (see 3 posts up). If it doesn't matter which router you use I am now on Day 11 and need to leave it on for 3 days. Or,if it does matter, I am only on Day 7!

Hi all,

Regarding the RouterStats software at the beginning of this thread, i've just tried setting it up but i get stuck when i have to enter the address of the stats pop up box into the software. I've right clicked on the pop up and selected 'view source' but it opens in Notepad and doesn't give me the complete address in the header. Does anyone know of another way to view the address?

Cheers.
