I have read in another post to change the wireless mode to Auto 108 .Does this have the effect of boosting the signal?
I have also now changed it to transmit on Channel 11, again is this wise? There are other “stations” using Channel 1

      (2) Speed selection is broke - don't use it - select Auto 108 - if not the speeds on your wireless clients can take a nosedive every 20 mins or so. Note that you do not need 108 wireless adaptors on your client to select and use this setting. Just hope your neighbors don't use channel 6 and are too close.

Changing to channel 6 will not give you a boost.

What speed is your client connecting at and what is its maximum speed?

For trouble shooting (if the client is a laptop) try moving it close to the router and see if it still drops out
