      Router reboot syndrome

Just had a amazing 10minutes battling my black sky net gear router, was totally stuck in a full reboot cycle, it was so close to being rugby kicked into a neighbours garden.
In the end I used the hard reset button and it's working for now.
Is this the time to be buying router?

If you have had it less than 12 months you will get a replacement foc. It may just have been a glitch the reset has sorted out.

      Re: Router reboot syndrome

Pity, I think the iPad is one of those devices which is handicapped by not having ethernet, so you can't check if it only happens with wireless. Have a look at the Appple/Ipad forums and see if anything is being reported there.

      Rebooting router is back...
Watching it do it, all lights go out, the 4 ethernet ports light up for a second, then slowly the other lights start coming on, orange light flashes for about 30secs, then ican connect again..
      until the next time..

Can you confirm it only happens when you connect the iPad?

      Re: Router reboot syndrome

It could well be the PSU as previously suggested, is it getting very hot?

      Re: Router reboot syndrome

Thanks for suggestion, psu doesn't appear hot, mildly warm to touch as most psus?
I'll call sky and see what they say, would be easier to throw another router in to try, if only it was that simple with sky.
