      Re-installing Firmware fix Portforwarding?

Since i cannot portforward whatsoever since my router is bugged/not allowing me to, because i was able to when i first had the router, would it worth re-installing the router's firmware to see if that fixes the portforwarding bug?

      Im using Netgear V1 DG834GT

      Firmware Version: V1.03.87

I would try a reset using the button on the back of the router first.

      Re: Re-installing Firmware fix Portforwarding?

Ive tried that many times, its not like ive tried using uncommon ports to portforward, ive tried the all the common ports, and nothing, ive tried disabling all firewalls then trying, nothing..

What concerns me is, i know i read the guide on upgrading but will it affect the settings or will it keep all current settings?

You could try installing James CU firmware. Even if it does not help with your problem, it does have a lot of useful features.-

If you are worried about loosing settings, back them up to your desktop using the Backup Settings link in the router Maintenance section.

What are you trying to forward to?
