2 Routers can one be used as wireless extender?

      Hi All

I was wondering if anyone can help me, networking is unfortunately alien to me so a step by step guide would be great if it is possible.

      My set-up etc.

I live in a bungalow and we have 2 master sockets in the house (from the BT junction box, one in the kitchen and one in a bedroom, i have had the Sky router (Sagem F@st 2504 Sky V3.1) by the TV in the living room next to my xbox so it can be hard wired (through an extension) but i couldnt get wireless signal down th eother end of the house, i have now moved it to the master socket in the kitchen BUT i still cannot get a wireless signal in the bedrooms, so my kids and i cannot access the internet down that side of the house. if i put it in the master socket in the bedroom i cannot get it signal in the living room its extremely annoying.

i want to avoid breaking the T&Cs and want to keep using the Sagem Sky router as my main router

but do have a spare Sky wireless Router (Netgear DG934G-1SKUKS) from an old sky contract and i was wondering is there any way to either connect this to my sagem to extend the wireless signal? ideally by wireless but i do have a large length of CAT5 cable that i can use to hard wire them together. oh i also have an OLD Belkin F5D6230uk3 Router if that can be used for anything?

Any help would be appreciated because its rather irritating and i cant really spend any money investing on new or additional kit.

      Thanks in advance

You can plug the spare router into the Sky router using the ethernet ports, do not use the WAN port. Basically, turn off DHCP in the second router and change its IP address to something like Sometimes it is as simple as that. I don't think there is any way to connect the routers wirelessly.

You can also use Homeplugs to connect the routers, which means you do not have a cable to route through your house.
