I dont understand what you mean by work group. In the past i connect via either cable and it said connected. Then using network centre i select printer sharing. I have norton 360 and vista firewall shut down.

Re: Sagem Router- Connecting network trouble

If this has just happened since you changed routers I think the problem may be with the Norton firewall. It is probably still set for the old router and the new one is being blocked. You can check this by starting the PC in Safe Mode with Networking and see if you have access to its printer, if you can that will confirm it.. Although there will be a setting you can alter, probably your easiest way would be to uninstall Norton completely and reinstall it with the new router attached.

Re: Sagem Router- Connecting network trouble

If you are able to connect to the internet, the modem and adapter are OK. I would still advise uninstalling Norton completely and try it without it installed. Use the Cleanup tool to make sure it is all removed, this will also make reinstalling easier.

Re: Sagem Router- Connecting network trouble

I'm sorry but I am getting confused. Do you mean you cannot connect to the internet now. Previously you said you could.

Go to your LAN properties again and click the Use this IP button and enter the following
      IP address........192.168.0.100
      Sub net............255.255.255.0
      Gateway...........192.168.0.1

Leave the rest empty, reboot your PC and see if it connects to the internet.

OK try this. Go back to the LAN Properties and put this in for the servers.

      Primary DNS server .....208.67.222.222
      Secondary DNS server..208.67.220.220
