      Re: Hating sky router!

You stated you had a laptop. Take laptop to router with short ethernet cable and plug it in there.
To be fair I think your problem is with the Sagem router and I think I know why you cant get an IP address connecting via the netgear with DHCP off. I believe you are connecting the sagem to the Cable Modem port on the netgear router and not directly to one of the normal 4 ports, if that is the case then there is NO way at ALL that it'll work with DHCP off in doing that your using the sagem as a modem and not a router. Plug it in to the netgear using one of the four normal (PC) ports and it'll work fine.

      Re: Hating sky router!

Does your laptop have a ethernet connection? If so go back to basics and do the following.
Switch off your PC and PS
Connect the laptop to the Sky router using the ethernet cable.
Ensure that the Wireless is turned off and the DHCP server turned on.
Now connect to the second router, using the laptop.
Turn the DHCP server off and the wireless on. Temporarily disable the security.
Change the IP address of the second router to 192.168.0.254.
Make sure you click Apply after each setting change.
Now use the ethernet cable to connect one of the ethernet ports on the Sagem to one of the ethernet ports on the Netgear. Do not use the WAN port.
Switch on your PC and try to connect, likewise the PS.
If you are able to connect, apply your security.
If you are still unable to connect give the PC and PS fixed IP address in the router's range, eg., 192.168.0.10 and 100.

I understand you are having issues, but we do not allow swearing on the forums or attempts to bypass the filter.

This thread has been reported by several people now and if it continues we will have to start enforcing our rules, and close the thread off. We have a zero tolerence policy.

Hopefully people can get to the bottom of it and give you some pointers etc
