I have been live for just over 24 hours and have had two disconnections, one over night and one earlier this evening. This might seem a stupid question but how do I disable UPnP ?

Log into the router and in the menus down the left is one for UPnP, click that then untick the tick box for uPnP

ok now have to reboot the router every time I want to use the net. and every time i quick switch users on PC. Connection fine as long as I use the net if I leave it for 30 mins connection drops I had someone from sky call me and went over the same old script they have. reboot pc reboot router unplug adsl line and reconnect. try another filter (thats 6 now). BT have been up and fitted another new sockett even though the engineer said there was nothing wrong with socket or line. I have almost had enough and am seriously considering going back to tiscali. It is all well and good the sky team posting on here saying please be patient and it will get sorted out. Im paying for a service I am not receiving and am fed up spending 45 mins listerning to the cr*ppy music on hold @10p per min on an 0870 number. the least they can do is put up an 0845 number and stop charging everyone who is paying on top of the usual sky tv package until this is sorted.

sorry for the rant a tad pi**ed off trying to work with people in the US and nothing but cut offs

Hey guys, currently have had SkyBB for about 5 days, without the other problems we have the internet currently coming through, but currently suffer from somewhat random disconnects.
      Heres my connection stats:
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 15658 19771 0 1136 5180 00:32:24
      LAN 10M/100M 21078 18392 0 5220 1366 00:34:32
      WLAN 11M/54M 1508 0 0 66 0 00:34:22

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5600 kbps 766 kbps
Line Attenuation 49.5 db 30.9 db
Noise Margin 8.0 db 10.9 db

Have no idea wtf is wrong with, and frustration is running high all round, as i play Guild Wars competively at a top20 level, and being disconnected randomly during a game is not fun. At All.
      Ty for any help ~

      Hi Dual

Have you tried the suggestions from the sticky?

Sorry for the double post, but since i have changed the things mentioned in the sticky, and i havnt had any disconnects so far, but its only been ~8 hours. However, the only thing that is concerning me, is even after the reboots from the modem configuration screen, my noise margin is still only 6.9 - 7.5. Also from speed tests i am only getting a 2000Kbps connection, yet i download much faster (600kb/s).

Hopefully this does sort itself out, as the connection is very quick when its active, but its stability is worrying.

      Ty~
