      Sky modem get very hot..

Wondering if someone can advise me please...
I've noticed over the last couple of days the my Sky Netgear modem seems to get quite hot to the touch but does seem to be all working OK.
I'm keeping an eye on it -Does this seem normal or should I report a problem?

      Cheers
      Pete

Which router do you have ?
The early white ones do get quite hot, they are shipped with clip on feet so you can stand them up on end which does help with heat dissipation.

      Hi
Yep,think its one of the early ones as i've had it a couple of years now..and it is white!.

Is it worth reporting or ordering a replacement?

Also what is the latest modem model I should have?

      Cheers again!

Re: Sky modem get very hot..

If its too hot to touch then don't touch it

No seriously if its working fine then don't worry
its not unusual for them to be warm/hot they are transmitter
devices after all and well it has been warm these past couple
of days so ambient temperatures will be higher, and there is no
better Sky router than the one you have now so I would hang onto it.

Make sure its in open space idealy on its feet and vents are clean
      thats the main thing.
