      hi guys,

i have just had a replacment router sent to me from sky following the death of my dg834gt.

its the black netgear router, iam trying to flash it with the generic netgear firmware but iam getting this issue:

the gui on the flash utility is all messed up and i cannot use the utility, i have connected the router onto my other pc and it does the same thing, i have disabled av and fw and still the same problem.

      any help would be magic

      Re: netgear v2 ? flash

Goodness knows why you would want to flash it with generic firmware if you have only just received it.

Anyway the problem you are experiencing is due to a bug in the utility that occurs if you have only one network adapter in the P.C.

The workaround is to install the Microsoft Loopback adapter .

How to install the Microsoft Loopback adapter in Windows XP
