      Use of non sky routers (PLEASE VOTE!!)

      Can i use a non sky router

      I have decided to use this router is it any good BELKIN ADSL2+MODEM WITH WIRELESS G PLUS MIMO ROUTER new on eBay (end time 15-Mar-10 13:16:12 GMT)

      Yes, but it's against T&Cs of the contract you 'signed' so if found out Sky are well within their right to terminate your connection without warning - but they haven't as yet

      Surely you would determine if its any good prior to deciding ?
      point 1 i was going to use the poll to make decsion on wether to keep the sky version or change to a non sky version

      point 2 it was a snap descion come on the price says everything cheap as chips!

      it is a MIMO router as well

      So that makes it what? The Sky router is fine for normal use - extra antennas don't make a lot of difference.

      There are quite a few cheap routers on eBay. Probably due to people upgrading to 'N' and getting rid of their old 'G' routers.

      As said, having a poll on this is pointless.

      Why not read some online reviews of it? Makes a lot more sense than buying a router that 1. you don't need, and 2. is no potentially good

      Seriously, though, that router, unless you have wireless n on ALL your devices connecting to it, is a pointless purchase
