Help needed with Netgear DG934G router

Recently moved from Virgin Media to Sky (bundled package save costs now I have retired) and set up my Netgear DG934G router to link desktop media server pc to 3 notebook computers and two PS3's - The PS3, desktop and one notebook connected via ethernet wired connections direct to the router and the others wirelessly.

All can connect to the internet but can not see the media server - switch back to the old router (cable not adsl) and they all see the media server - using Windows media centre -

Is this a problem with the router, or do I need a switch or hub to link the wired connections before linking to sky router.

      Any suggestions gratefully received ..

Thanks for your advise Isitme...set me thinking along the right lines and eventually (after 12 hours of trying everything I could think of) tracked down the problem........... McAffee Firewall - needed to go into the advanced settings- firewall menu / network option to allow traffic from the range to and hey presto its working ... the router is OK and I did not need to make any changes to it. Thanks again Steve

I think it is probably a problem with your Server's IP address, it is still looking for the old router. I can't tell you how to do it, but you will have to go into the server and change the IP address to one in the Sky router's range. Something like with a subnet and a gateway of
