Where has the router flashing tutorial gone?

Guy's i have just received my router today and expect to be connected on the 3rd October. I had intended to flash my router and use it on my current connection to prove the stability of the router prior to then using it on the sky connection, but the tutorial has gone! I thought that i had read that the tutorial would not be removed but it would not remain a live thread.

You don't need to flash it

Have a look in adslguide.org or the Tech section in this forum

Ok i have found a thread on adslguide and am starting to read through it. Can you advise if with what i find in the thread will i be able to change the username/password on the sky router so that i can use it on my current F2S connection to test the stability of the sky router on that connection before i have to connect it to sky bb on the 3rd Oct?

which thread... a link would be handy.
depending on what you find in the thread you may or may not be able to do that.

that isnt a router flashing tutorial.
and it will not allow you to use your router on another service.

please take a look at the technical section we have here. you may find more information there.

The tutorial was moved because of the decisions made yesterday (was moved before we found a solution)

Now that we have that solution, I have moved it back to the router forum.

May I remind you also it is against Skyuser.co.uk 's rules to openly speak about hacking a router.

However there is now a Tech Forum on here, which you will have to gain access to via an email request.

Don't worry nobody found a solution to the router problem, they did find a solution to the discussing it here problem. You can join up to the techie section of the board to see more. Any info you act on in there is done so at your own risk.
