      Graphing Stats from Sagem Router

      Hi,

      I'm interested in getting some stats out of my Sagem router, but as it's got no snmp support its a bit tricky.

      I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to add snmp support to the router, or maybe if anyone had managed to scrape the info out of the stats page and do something with it.

      Ideally i would like to use MRTG to graph the info. I have read quite a bit about doing this on the netgear box's, but nothing much from the sagem ones

      Cheers
      Luke

      Re: Graphing Stats from Sagem Router

      This script will feed the line quality stats to MRTG. I used it while mine was training, but it's been really boring since.

      ============SNIP==============
      #!/bin/bash
      cd /home/geoff/router

      rm sky_system.html
      wget --http-user=admin --http-password=sky http://192.168.7.1/sky_system.html

      #stats are down then up
      ATT=`cat sky_system.html | grep -A 20 Connection\ Speed | grep -A 2 Attenuation | grep td`
      ATD=`echo $ATT | cut -d\> -f 2 | cut -d\& -f 1`
      ATU=`echo $ATT | cut -d\> -f 4 | cut -d\& -f 1`

      NM=`cat sky_system.html | grep -A 20 Connection\ Speed | grep -A 2 Noise\ Margin | grep td`
      NMD=`echo $NM | cut -d\> -f 2 | cut -d\& -f 1`
      NMU=`echo $NM | cut -d\> -f 4 | cut -d\& -f 1`

      echo $ATD:$ATU:$NMD:$NMU

      /usr/bin/rrdtool update linestats.rrd N:$ATD:$ATU:$NMD:$NMU

      Line wrapping may have caused a bit of bother there, but I think you'll be able to figure it out. My router is probably not on the same IP as yours, and you probably need to change the first cd line to the folder where your rrd is.

      I'd like to get TX and RX bytes but there's only the per second value, and the TX and RX packets. If you figure out a way, let me know.

      Hope it helps.

      looks like the line wrapping was ok.
