      Sagem Fast - Access Telnet?

      Hi folks,

Trying to get use to having Sky but it's been a bit of a pain. A week ago Sky had no problems putting me on fastpath where I could achieve a higher sync and tweak with my Belkin with my old ISP.

The guy at Sky did agree to put me on fastpath, infact he did for about 5 minutes while we spoke on the phone but the sync was slightly lower so ended up sticking with Interleaved. Totally regret it now, higher pings and seems less stable to me so want to have a dabble with the Sagem to see what I can do.

Rang Sky up today and they refused to put Fastpath back on. He checked with a "team leader" of some sort and said the same again, even though it was fine a week ago. Now its over my 7 days and im not happy. Feel like smashing their router against the wall.... but anyways......

Unfortunately the wireless on the Sagem is absolute rubbish. Its AWFUL but have a few questions.

Just wondering if there were a list of telnet commands for the Sagem?

Can you change the SNR, does DMT tool work with it?

Does SRA work with Sky? (My other Belkin 7633 supports it.)

      Any info much appreciated.

      Cheers,

      - D -

Sky have never offered fastpath to any customers only interleaved is offered.

The guy actually switched me onto fastpath a week ago. He confirmed it, and I saw it was on with dmt tool. It can be done at certain exchanges, they are just being petty and awkward.

      Ringing up to cancel now.

If a Sky agent put you on Fast, he was breaking their rules and could get a rap over the knuckles. This is no doubt what happened. Sky can and do reduce the delay when requested, which improves the ping.
