      Exclamation Router ethernet port problem - help!?!

      Hi folks, New to sky BB and connect via wifi no problems.

      I cannot connect devices via the ethernet ports on the Netgear DG934g router. The lights NEVER come on on the router and there is NO activity at the laptop OR Xbox 360..also I have tried resetting the router all to no avail. Do I need to enable these ports..?? ummm help

      Any help appreciated !

      Try loopbacking the ethernet cable - plug both ends into two of the ethernet ports available. If both lights come on at each corresponding port, then the cable is fine. If the lights do not come on, then try other ports if you haven't already obviousy (any of the four ports should suffice even though there are two yellow, a blue and a green).

      I'm not going to assume there's anything wrong with your ethernet NICs as it's occurring on two machines, so it sounds more like faulty ports or a faulty ethernet cable (more likely).
