    Sagem modem to router

      Sagem modem to router

      is it possible to connect the sagem fast modem to a router which is in a different room and both can be used to connect to the internet just with my xbox in my games room which is in the basement i can cant any help would be useful

      In short no. However, you could use two routers in this way.
      Use your sky router and another router as a switch, Disable DHCP in the second router so that the sky router will allocate the ip routing.
      Connect with Ethernet cable as the wireless on the sagem isn't very good.
      You could disable wireless in the sagem and use the wireless on the second router.

      ok i think il give that a try . is they any router u could recommend for me to buy price isnt a problem the best is what i want. all so do i use a cross over cable or standard ethernet

      Why do you want a second router? If you are thinking about a wireless one, I would think again. A direct cable connection is far better for your Xbox. If you need more than one connection, say for your PC, a simple network switch would do the job just as well at a lower cost.       You don't need a cross over cable to connect a switch or router.
