      Router on or off

Hi all, complete novice here so please be kind whenever i go on the net i switch my router/modem on, then when i've done i switch it off again, have had no problem past three years. However some of the guys at work are saying that router should be left on all of the time, is this correct? and if so is there much usage on the lecky bills or just pennies, all replies much appreciated.

      Re: Router on or off

Most would recommend the router should be left on 24/7. Many think that switching the router off and on each tie you use it could shorten its life. The amount of power it uses is very small.
