Sky Sagem router issue , stuck on two green lights

If i power down the router , for example i go away on holiday come back the router will stay on the top two green lights. It will not connect to the internet , nor can i access the router via url stats.

We just had a powercut due to this weather and again just the two top green lights and the ethernet green light. I tried rebooting it time and time again , same thing i even waited 30mins still stuck on two green lights.

Pushed the reset button in for a little while and wolla the green lights become unstuck

Do you ever see all four ethernet port lights lit up? Or a red internet light?

Sounds like a PSU failure issue. Call sky up (08442 410515) and get a replacement router sent out (router + psu comes with it). Trouble is, an agent you get through to may confuse this for a firmware failure and try to go through a restoration process via a CD or even try sending you out a CD to try this. You don't have a local connection, and this obviously won't work.

If that does happen, tell him/her you've done the process via the 'version 4 CD' already and it 'failed'. No arguments thereafter, a replacement router will be sent out. Please, for your own sake, do NOT accept that a CD will be sent out.

Re: Sky Sagem router issue , stuck on two green lights

I have exactly the same problem, although if I keep recycling the power on the router I can also get a different array of lights! Just phoned sky, spoke to an english guy who is sending out a new router (will take up to 10 working days to arrive!).
By the way use the 0800 number for support. It is 0800 0287855 and take option 3 for Broadband. Seems as though you can sue this 0800 number for other sky issues like you TV. Cheers! Dave.
