One Billion seems a bit steep for 4 routers

No, and I haven't got the new ~20Mb download either yet, still waiting for the exchange upgrade.

I don't think any are, if so it has not been reported here. Even lines with a single figure attenuation don't seem able to get the full amount.

I would say the reason that on one has it, is because skys default is too high, my SNR sits at 8.5db, others like o2 have a default SNR of 6db which is why on other forums the upstream stats of those are close or at 1.3Mb.
I would say sky is the limiting factor for the upstream.

Having gone live today I have to agree with you my target
upload SNR on o2 was 6db and I had 1.3mb upload no problem
      and 2.4mb on annex m.

      Today stats from Sagem
      SNR Margin (dB): 7.4 8.0
      Attenuation (dB): 9.5 4.6
      Rate (Kbps): 20216 1065

If they insist on a 8db upload margin dont think many if any will get the full 1.3mb
      they advertise.

Sky don't match the modem chipset to the exchange equipment, like o2 do and it has a big affect on the upstream speed, the SNR is as low as they will go sky seem to not be setup for top upstream speeds.

I've just checked this again with RouterStats and am now getting the following:

      Current Training Status : Showtime
Current trained adsl mode : ADSL2+
Current trained adsl path : Interleaved
Downstream Bit Rate : 11262608 bps
Downstream Noise Margin : 7.60 dB
      Downstream Attenuation : 32.0 dB
Upstream Bit Rate : 1107591 bps
Upstream Noise Margin : 8.0 dB
      Upstream Attenuation : 14.0 dB

So Upstream has changed, notice the SNR has gone down from 12.0dB to 8.0 dB which is to be expected with the increase in Bit Rate

The new SVBN is apparently Broadcom based, so if you are going on that, the GT and the Sagem should come out on top.

Edit - I think the existing network is Conexant based, so the V5 should be best if you are on that.
I cant check SVBN as I have not been put on that, but acording to my St585v6
I am on a Globespan dslam.
