      What more do you want?

There are quite a few errors shown, but it does not really tell us much, as your router has been running for 30 days since its last reboot. The last 24 hrs does show a lot of errors and if these happened over a short period that would indicate a problem.

Can you reboot your router by pulling the power plug out for a minute and plugging it in again. This will clear all the present errors shown and start with a clean sheet.

If you have one of the Netgear routers, download this application and use it to track your noise margin. - Sky router tool

thanks. I'll do that and have a look at that app and report back. Am I looking for anything in particular?

Sudden drops in your noise margin and the time they occur.

OK, here are the new Full Stats and SNR Graph for last 24 hours. The resyncing seems to be happening around the same time of 7.30 ish (plus sometimes one other) - a time when SNR is at its highest. Not sure if any of these dips are more than normal behaviour. Obviously the resyncing is not.

      Re: "System Up Time" Question

You have a few errors but there does not seem to be enough to cause problems. I have never seen a noise graph like that, something is definitely effecting your line, there must be a fault somewhere causing the large fluctuations. Do you live in the centre of a town where there may be a large amount of interference? Are you certain the connection is resyncing? I would have expected this to happen when the Noise margin was very low, not when it was relatively high. You would usually see a drop to zero with a resync, which you don't show. A bit like this graph, which shows a resync at 13.26.

      Thanks for looking at these.

I don't live near any town centres. I am only certain that the WAN row under the Uptime stats is getting reset to zero at the times I have indicated. Is there a reason other than the router resyncing that would make this happen? As you say strange it should be happening when noise margins are at their highest and that there is no blip on the graph when it happens.

Another slightly odd thing I have noticed lately is that the line attenuation fluctuates between 43.5 and 44db. It always used to be rock steady at 40 before I moved onto adsl 2+. I always felt this was rather high anyway since I am only a little over half a mile from the exchange. Maybe it is just a particularly noisy line?

Anything else I can do to get to the bottom of these resets? They seem to be getting more frequent.

This is normal when you move from G.DMT to ADSL2+ as the faster mode uses a wider frequency band.

It could be your line has suddenly become noisier or it could be DLM running. I am still stumped by why your resync is not causing a drop in the NM. Would you like to try downloading Routerstats Lite, just in case it is a glitch in the tool you are using. Get it from here-
      Internet Software

This will at least give a comparison of the graphs.
