      Wireless issues

Hi all, new user here looking for some help.

I have done a quick search but I can't seem to find anything relating to my problem.

I have a DG834GT router that has been working more or less perfectly for years until yesterday. Out of nowhere, the wireless signal just disappeared. I went and reset the router and everything came back up... for about 5 minutes. So I then unplugged it and left it for half an hour and tried again... same thing, 5 minutes of access then nothing.

I tried using my wired desktop and everything worked as it should but none of the wireless devices in the house could see it.

After unplugging it overnight and all day today I have just tried again and guess what... I got 10 minutes this time but again, the signal disappeared.

Any ideas or am I going to have to buy a new one (or will Sky be kind enough to replace it)?

      Thanks in advance.

      Re: Wireless issues

      Sky will replace it.

Give them a ring, tell them what is happening, it could be a faulty power adaptor that just isn't putting out enough power to run the wireless when it gets hot.

....or it could be the wireless adapter in the router which is giving up the ghost. Either way, ring Sky and you should get a replacement.

      Thanks guys.

I phoned them and after around 90 minutes of trying this and that, they agreed to send me a new one.

Good job there are freephone numbers available.
