    New DG934G not working

      New DG934G not working

      Cutting a long story short, i have been sent a dg934g to replace the old dg834g. After powering up the power LED shows ok, the test LED shows green (does not flash orange) then goes out. The wireless LED is ok. The internet LED never flashes so never connects to turn green. My belkin wireless network is picking up my neighbours connections but not my new router. It is brand new out of the box, i think it is faulty, any suggestions, before i ring CS.
      P.s. My old router is picked up by my belkin wireless network.

      No, but it is in an adsl nation master socket.

      The test LED is not supposed to flash or turn orange. The normal sequence is: power and test light come on, test light goes out and wireless led comes on, adsl light flashes orange until connects when it will turn solid green.

      I suggest you connect up to the router via ethernet cable and login to the router page (192.168.0.1) to see if the ADSL connection comes up or not.

      It does all the above apart from adsl light flashing orange, it does nothing.

      Have connected via ethernet cable, it is saying lan connected at 100 Mbps, but will not let me log into the router page, doesn't even come up with user name or password. I think it is "fried"

      Just an update.
      After speaking to 3rd tier customer solutions dept. (wow) what a name!! They sent me another router, plugged it all in and hey presto all worked fine. Took about 9 hours for it to constantly connect/disconnect last Sunday, looking at the logs it rebooted itself or sky did several times over the next few days. It has been running now for nearly 48 hrs. Tier 3 technicians really knew what i was talking about and accepted that i knew what i was talking about. I think a pat on the back for them is in order, pity we have to go through 2 stages before getting some sense from them.
