      DG834GT - No Internet Connection.

      Hi,

I'm new to the forum, tried searching for this problem but didn't find any solutions.

Last night we had a power cut, when it came back everything came back on just fine, but my sky router showed the internet connection light as amber. Logged into the admin console and rebooted the router, this didn't help. Then i tried the "Sky Test" button on the admin console and got an error saying no internet connection. I then powered down the router left it for over 20 seconds and plugged it back in, this didn't resolve the problem.

I disconnected all phones from the sockets, this didn't resolve the issue. The phone line itself works fine and is clear.

The connection setup of the router is as follows.

Connected to an RJ11 dedicated ADSL socket upstairs, this socket is connected to another pre-filtered socket downstairs via an external high speed cable which runs along the front of the house. This pre-filtered socket is connected directly to the main phone cable and is like a second master socket.

There were no changes to the how many phones were connected to sockets etc etc between the power going out and coming back on again.

      Any ideas?!?

Re: DG834GT - No Internet Connection.

You could try a factory reset of your router. You will need a paper clip or similar to press the reset but at rear of the router. press and hold for 30 seconds.
then try to see if it will connect.

Should the above fail then try Take your router to the original master socket and plug into test socket, assuming you have a split face NTE5 master socket?

try connection if that fails come back and report

If its connected fine now then thats ok , but I'd keep an eye on it for a few days see if its playing up again. Are the speeds/SNR numbers the same?
