Sorry I mean try to connect your router to the master socket using a filter. Is that what you mean?

You mean take the faceplate off and put the telephone and internet cable in there?

      Sorry if it's confusing lol

Oh Im with you, the picture shows a filter in the test socket. If you do not have any extensions, just the one phone socket you can connect that way if you like, but if you have an extension , using the test socket like that will disconnect the extension. If you have just the one phone socket you may as well use the faceplate socket, the one on the bit that comes off.

Just connected the router and did a speed test and these are the results for 8mb:

      Download Speed: 2739 kbps (342.4 KB/sec ) Upload Speed: 213 kbps (26.6 KB/sec )

      Ping is abit high..

post your router stats to see what speed you might expect after DLM from your line attenuation and noise margins

Re: Which router will I recieve?

you can ask them to reduce your max delays, the lowest they will set it is 8 which gives me a ping from 20ms - 30 to most UK servers. You may need to wait till DLM finishes to do this if it hasnt improved as i think DLM attempts to set this as best as it can anyway. Stick it out till DLM has shown as finished on your line then see if things need improving
