adding sky details to a third party router ??

my netgear router is playing up so i want to use my old speedtouch 580.i have all the info i need to do this so dont need anyone to give me links on how to do this.i also know its againt my t/c's

my problem is when i connect the speedtouch and try to run the setup cd it doesnt recognise any speedtouch devices on my network. even when i try to go to the router config page through my browser using the address it dont do anything ?

when i do connect the speedtouch , on the network connection screen it comes up with a little yellow exclamation mark and says limited connectivity . only the power light is coming up on the router ?

i was on bt before using the router and aint used it since i went to sky
