Red face A slight problem - Help would be very appreciated

Hey Guys. Well I have had my router plugged under my PC downstairs(wired), for 3 years working fine. Then one day it suddenly stopped working. So sky told me to move the router*still downstairs* to the master telephone socket...which is near the T.V. but I still got no internet signal.
So they shipped me a new router, saying they believe that one is diminished. One day before the new router arrives the internet signal returns to the router(in the master telephone socket area).
I know have the new router plugged in wirelessly in the master telephone socket.
My laptop picks it up fine(wifi) and I can just add the key and connect seamlessly.

HOW would I connect the internet to my PC? Would I have to move my router back to its original position, near the P.C. and have it plugged in with the ethernet cable?
Because my PC won't obviously have wifi or anything, since its a couple years old?
I'm not going to connect it all the way from the T.V. to the P.C. so thats the only solution?

Or is there a work around

      Peace out.
      All help highly appreciated.

P.S. : My old router is obviously the white old netgear, and now I have the sagem ^_^

Two things you can try - Get a longer ethernet cable to reach from your router to the PC, the cheapest solution. Or get a pair of Homeplugs and set up a network using your mains. HomePlug AV | Broadbandbuyer.co.uk

There is a 3rd method which is to buy a USB wireless adapter, but it depends on your house as to how well this would work.

Yes, you can! If it stops working again you will know what to do

You may find you get much better speed and stability from the Master socket with a filtered face plate. Have a look at the stickies in this section for advice -
