How to get 108Mbps from the Sky Router?

I was looking around the site, and stumbled onto the ''set up your router'' I was gobsmacked, you seem to be telling me I can get 108Mbps out of it? :S

I want to know how? My router layout isn't like that, its a re-aranged Sky version

I know my wireless adapter can handle the 108, in fact it can go up to 240 :P

      Its a WPNT121 RangeMax adaptor.

So if anyone could tell me how I should set that up I'd be hugely greatful.
A screenshot of my router layout is attached

      Again thakns

what router do you have? the Black ones are only 54Mbps...the White Phase 1 is 108Mbps...

However, this is purely between PC and router and nothing to do with Internet speed...and you'll never get 108Mbps as overheads have to be taken into account...

Re: How to get 108Mbps from the Sky Router?

*Sigh* Its the black Netgear one.

Thats really disapointing. I was looking forward to getting 108.
Should it be in ''G mode'' or ''G & B mode'' by the way?

I have one of these too:
      Netgear DG834PN RangeMax MIMO-G

Would that do it do you know?

I'd love to use that over the Sky one but its agaisnt Skys T&C's.
I personaly cant wait for Sky to see their error and let people use third party routers

Although I have heard you can connect a second router to Sky's router, and make like a bridge accross the two, and connect via the second routers wireless...

Mind you that wont help if that router doesn't do it either.

      Any ideas? Thanks

Re: How to get 108Mbps from the Sky Router?

G is the faster one so just use that...and if you've another router you can always link it up with ethernet to the Sky one and use it as an access point (and turn off wireless on the Sky one)...

worth a go, and you're not breaking T&Cs...

Re: How to get 108Mbps from the Sky Router?

I meant to completely replace the Sky router with a third party one. That would be agaisnt the T&C's

Because you'd have to crack the Sky one in order to get your login details off of it. In order to input into the third party one.

I think I'll give it a go for the wireless, thansk

If I may, since you've been such a big help, could I link you to my other question:
Quick Question: Any tricks to get BT to fit a new master socket for free?

No-ones answered so far. Thanks a bunch
