      Sagem Router Connection Problems

      Hello, ever since we have been using the Sagem router we can connect (me and my sister) fine, but every 20 mins or so the connection will be lost and then sometimes cannot be found again untill computer is restarted, its even so bad that if my sister moves her laptop an inch she will lose connection.

      We are both using Vista, and are well within 5-10 meters of the router at anytime.

      It often disconnects my xbox live and often have trouble signing into msn

      this never happened with my old thomson speedtouch router

      any ideas would be greatly appreciated, Thank You

      The first thing you may want to do is change the channel in the router. The best way to find a suitable channel is to download and use Netstumbler, link below. If it is compatible with your adapter, or your sisters, it will show all the networks in your area and the channels they are using. Choose one as far from the others as possible and remember, No 13 is a usable channel in the UK.

      Cheers for that downloaded it now and trying it out, however when scanning it says "access is denied" at the bottom

      It may not be compatible with your adapter, try your sisters.

      Alternately it may be Vista. When you run it Right click it and select 'Run as Administrator'.
