      Port Forward Advice

      Hi,

I'm trying to web access a linksys IP camera. I've done all of the instructions with the camera and router, but cannot get access via <IP address>:1024. I can access the router via the IP address.

Using the tool from portforwarding.com, and forwarding to my LAN server (router IP address) I get a closed port.

If I use the same tool but forwarding to my PC IP then I get port open.

Both ways, I cannot access the camera via the web address.

I'm forwarding port 1024. I've checked the camera via IP scanner and that has port 80 and 1024 open ok.

Have I missed something - does anybody have any advice other than the standard links (which I've followed with no luck), as I am shortly going to throw the damn thing out of the window.

You need to open Port 80 (HTTP) Inbound on the router too, for the camera LAN IP Address!

but cannot get access via <IP address>:1024.
Are you using the WAN or LAN IP Address?

      Hi,

Port 80 on the router is open ok.

The WAN address of the camera is 192.168.0.115 - I'm not using that one. I'm using the LAN IP as stated in the router settings (192.168.0.1)
