Slow PS3 wifi - Firmware upgrade on Sagem?

A couple of weeks ago I got sent a replacement Sagem router(was previously netgear)
It worked a lot better then my old one but yesterday I noticed my ps3's wifi connection had less than halved in speed and was really slow. Also my internet radio struggles to connect.

As I say it was working so well before yesterday and i'm not sure why the change. I didn't take a note of my previous firmware but thought I was on 1.85Sky, and am now on 1.9Sky.
Could this be the cause(as I say, I didn't make a note of what firmware it came with)?

Or has anyone else had the same problem with a slow ps3 connection? I tried everything re opening all ports for Ps3, putting the router alongside to get 100% strength, but speed is still about 800k on a speedtest(4mb on laptop)

It will be down to wireless interference, try changing the mode and channel number on the router. Better still get a couple of homeplugs and improve your gaming connection completely, wireless sucj for most things but especially for gaming.

I went through all 13 channels and did a speed test on all, but each time was getting less than 1mb, and that's with the router in the same room and the laptop also in the same room getting 4mb.
I do have homeplugs as well, but that only solves the issue with the ps3, not the internet radio.
Will try changing the mode and get back to you, but as it was working perfectly last week I can't see that being the issue

      Update from speakeasy speedtest:
      54g Performance
      Laptop 4,500
      PS3 test1 2,500 PS3 test2 790 PS3 test3 1,241

      54g lrs
      Laptop 3,780
      PS3 test1 1,956 PS3 test2 531 PS3 test3 817

      80211.b
      Laptop 4,359
      PS3 test1 10,631 PS3 test2 1,207 PS3 test3 1,010
Not quite sure how I managed 10,631 on the ps3 first go!
Mode didn't produce any significant consistent uplift in speeds

100's of things could explain why you are only experiencing this in the last week.

It would only take a neighbour to start using another router need you, a power supply in many electrical items could be failing the list is endless.

If you already have homeplugs, why don;t you just get another one?

Does the PC you use for internet raido connect via wireless? if so try an ethernet lead to see if it cures it.
