Do we get to keep the Router

I'm going to start the process of migrating to another provider soon, and was just wondering if we get to keep the router or do Sky ask for it back?

I have one of the original Netgear (white) routers, and know that it is easy enough to flash it with the generic Netgear firmware. One question I have is where does it store the ADSL username (@skydsl) and the password? Once it has been flashed with the generic FW you can access & change those fields, is the skydsl username & password still there somehow so that if you restore default settings, or reflash with the Sky FW it comes back?

      Thanks.

Yes, the router is yours. When you reflash with the Netgear firmware it behaves like a Netgear router so you can put in all the new settings and passwords etc.

If you then put the original Sky firmware back on it will revert to your Sky user and password again so I would advise against selling it on if that is what you are thinking, just incase someone does somrthing they shouldn't with it and you are chased as the owner etc.

Better to be kept as a spare.
