If your router has been connected for any time at all, it will already have the latest firmware. The link was for before the auto-updates began.

      Hi

The sky router has had the latest Netgear firmware on for some time, so not sure wether it would have been updated by sky automatically or not. It currently reads V1.02.16. I have a spare V1 router as well, so thought i might give the sky firmware a go on that one. Had a few issues lately, and had heard of complaints about Netgear's own firmware, so worth a punt with the sky one maybe.

It would not update automatically unless it had Sky firmware. If your other one does, just plug it in and it should update within a couple of days. If both have Netgear firmware then you would have to reflash.
