    Former Sky Broadband Customer... I've just re-ordered... help/info needed

    This is a discussion on Former Sky Broadband Customer... I've just re-ordered... help/info needed within the Sky Router forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; fair play, it should hopefully be ok...just bare in mind DLM now being on all new connections so might have ...

      fair play, it should hopefully be ok...just bare in mind DLM now being on all new connections so might have a few teething issues...

      this may be a stupid question... but does the V1 relate to ALL white netgear routers ? i.e. would there be a V2 white netgear for example.

      reason i ask is that the firmware downloaded via the supplied link results in the following message when i try the router upgrade ;

      Upgrade file is not the correct type or version for this device.

      Upgrade failed.

      Please obtain the correct file and try again.


      or would this be a side effect of having generic netgear firmware already installed ?

      V1 is the White router, the V2 is the Black Netgear/Sagem router...

      I managed to get it installed using the netgear recovery utility... the web interface just wasn't having it.
