Can I use Belkin N1 in place of Sagem

I am on BT and use Sky max.
I have the Sagem wireless router and would like to use the N1 Belkin modem router.

Is it possibble to use this on sky bb?

I can get all lights to go solid (blue) but the internet light. When I check the log it tells me CHAP error.

Technically you are breaking the T and C's of Sky Broadband, thousands do, and I am sure that you are old enough to make a decision, without us telling you not to do it.

Make sure you have all the required settings.

Make sure you get the username and password as well from your Sky router if you haven't done so already.

      Hi,

If you just want to use the N1 router for wireless speed and range why not plug it in to the back of the sky router ,

Just tell the N1 router that its a router only and not a gateway ,
Just let the Sky router be the gateway ,

Sky will not support it but you should not have must bother with it .

Re: Can I use Belkin N1 in place of Sagem

      Thanks for the advice all.
I have returned the Belkin for refund as the signal from the N1 Belkin when I did get set up was rubbish compaired to the Sagem.

On my laptop in the same room I got 5 bars with Sagem, 100% with Belkin N1 I was getting 1 maybe 2 bars.

IMHO not worth the extra 70 for a black shiny box.

Thanks again for the advice and help.

Also may be looking to jump from sky due to the price increase coming up in March.
