      The set up for Sky is a normal u.k default one, your username and password may be obtained with the Sagem synced and using the password generator on this site

      Try here https://www.cm9.net/skypass/

      ***** Bewarned doing this is against Sky's terms and conditions and if found out in theory could result in you being disconnected.

      Here goes.

      VPI=0
      VCI-38
      Category=UBR
      Protocal=PPPoA
      Encapsulation=VCMux
      Authentication=CHAP
      IGMP=Disabled
      Qos= Disabled
      PPP MTU=1500.

      You may not need all of these, but I hope this helps.

      Juniper Networks :: Service Provider Connection Settings

      This gives the information for all ISP's across Europe and beyond. All UK ISP's use the same settings of:

      ADSL Encapsulation PPPoA
      VPI 0
      VCI 38
      Encapsulation VCMUX

      No, not all, just most.

      O2 LLU for example uses ETHoA encapsulation, VPI 0 and VCI 101.

      Have you sorted it out Nathan?

      Can I ask for advice on another matter concerning this modem router. I have been able to set it up with my Sky username and password and it now works on the internet.

      I thought that would be the hard part however, I cannot get the wireless signal to be identified by any of my laptops or gaming machines. Belkin are tryiign their best but to no avail.

      At what point do I suggest that it is bust? The wireless part should be a doddle to set up and I'm no idiot, well, obviously I might be.

      Re: having problems with sky router so bought new 1, i need a bit of help please

      You will need details for username and password a bit like those below, but obviously not identical as they are different for each Sky router.

      Sky router password generator

      Username: 00654DB178C2@skydsl
      Password: 4cbace775f

      There is a program that will strip them from your router, I am trying to find it.
