      No,

I am not that dumb just forgetfull.

The sky router was fully reflashed with generic Netgear firmware and fully reset with all passwords etc wiped.

I have no problem with the service they provide but just could not use the DG834GT V1 as it was a rubbish router for me.

Life is about choice which is why i have sky in the first place

You could have connected your other router to the Netgear and still had all the functions of the new router without breaking the T&C's

Do you know how much stuff is plugged in around my tv. Connecting hubs would have meant more wires and the missus hates the current ones lol.

Unfortunately that is where the master socket is.

Thanks honestly for your help and i have certainly made a note of the details for the future.

My New N1 is looking pretty smart - almost reminds me of a home hub - lol

No i require the increased wireless speed on 802.11N from the belkin N1 and also the superfast Gigabit ethernet it will provide on my network.

Now if the skiy equipment had the same spec then i would happily use it however it does not so i wont.

They can kick me off if they like but they would lose a fortune as i would disconnect my full HD multi room subscription also.
Good luck with that, you signed up for a service which states you have to use their kit so you've not got a leg to stand on...
