Sky discovering you are using your own router

Has anybody, having found out their username and password and went back to using their own router, been subseqently found out by Sky, and threatened with disconnection?

Sky MUST know this is going on, firstly from trawling through this and numerous other forums, and their own intrusion detection software must be noticing the wrong mac address on the end of the phonline.

I haven't heard of anyone being cut of by Sky for doing this. I fully intend going back to my Linksys router when Sky finally connect me later this week.

While I am very happy with the Sagem router, I have set-up my old Speedtouch 546v6 just in case the Sagem should develop a fault. I swap them about occasionaly and have never had any problems, the performance of both routers being fine.

I dont think have enforced there policy as yet, but if you ever have to ring for technical support, I would put the original router back on. You dont want to be the first that they enforce it on. lol.
