Just checked the extension (what the router is currently connected 2). It had wires connected to numbers so i have now pulled the one connected to '3'.

      The statistics now read:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5629 kbps 414 kbps
Line Attenuation 33 db 18 db
Noise Margin 17 db 23 db

O.k not much differance, Just to fill you in on your wiring, normaily the extension socket should be wired from the faceplate of the master socket, so that when you remove the face plate the extension wiring is disconnected and only the test socket underneath is left connected to the line, the extension socket would be dead.
But in your case both sockets have been wired from the external grey box, so the extension remains connected all the time. So what to do. You could get Openreach in to re-wire the extension correctly and then fit a filter faceplate, but that would be expensive, so Check that everthing connected to the phone line has a filter and get back on to Sky and see if they will lift the capp

The reason I wanted you to remove the wire from "3" at the extension was because I was hoping that your line may have been "double mastered" that is a master socket fitted instead of an extension, but as there was not much of an increase in the noise margin, this appears not to be the case. Sorry I could not be more helpful
