    router disconects

      router disconects

      router disconected about ten times last night so i uninstalled the netgear software and installed the wireless in windows xp and havent had any disconnects at all tonight

      there is a thread how to do this im sure one of the mods will do a link

      Did you have any problems installing the Netgear firmware? I'm interested in installing it as your not the first person to report a more stable connection with the Netgear firmware instead of Sky's.
      What puts me off is someone saying you have to unplug half way through? Seems a bit odd to have to do this. I would prefer to only do it if it's easy and able to downgrade back to Sky's firmware without lots of messing.

      you should not use any software that is not supplied by sky on your router.

      didnt say the router firmware i said install the wireless with windows xp
      i didnt use the netgear wizard install

      I was actually replying to johnandmarkuk.

      For the wireless adpators using Wireless Zero Configuration often fixes some peoples problems especially if they are using the netgear usb device
