    router help

    This is a discussion on router help within the Sky Router forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; ok just signed with sky and have been sent the sagem router now i cant use firefox or msn messenger ...

      router help

      ok just signed with sky and have been sent the sagem router now i cant use firefox or msn messenger any ideas guys?? got an old netgear dg834g v3 router sitting that i used with no problem till i moved to sky

      Sounds a strange one, I have a netgear plugged in at the mo, yet my sagem works perfectly ok with IE 7, firefox, and chrome.

      want to go back to my netgear but dont know how as when i went to sky it stopped working

      it's a complete coincidence, as some services work...boot into safe mode and see if then have full access. if so, PC is the issue...

      defo aint my pc just moved from an isp to sky today and firefox and msn have stopped working also having trouble using utorrent

      so boot into safe mode and check...seriously, if i had 1 for everytime someone says 'it's not my PC' I'd have a whole load of pounds...

      2 and counting...

      seeing as you're hell bent on it being Sky (which it actually isn't as you're on Connect - which is BT), what makes you think it's the router? why would IE work and not FF? they use the same ports and services as each other so it's doesn't make sense...
