i didnt by mines from sky but i have one, and had too many problems with it and gave up, instead i wired up the my house with cat5e and all is good.

i used to get blue screens after 20-30 mins, and poor speeds even when connected at 108mbps and excellent signal.

probably a driver issue but i never got my problem solved, other adapters (a dlink one i got for free + pci card) were fine for me, and didnt loose connection for 3 days.

i have to say, ive had the best experience with pci wireless cards. they definatly provide a more stable connection.

I have 2 and they are working fine.

If you are using the netgear software to control it I suggest you reinstall the drives and use the Microsoft software as th netgear is a bit buggy.

Cheers folks, the netgear thing does seem a pain. I'll give XP a go and get back to you!

      netgear dongle

yes the software is buggy, but its the only software sky tech supports!

if you say youre using windows to connect, the call centres will tell you to use the smart wizard wireless assistant.

just in case anyone didnt know...

I have it and got it from Sky. Touch wood - it's been pretty good so far. Much better than the Linksys equivalent I used to have.
