    internet connection

      internet connection

      i have just switched broadband providers fron ntl to sky i am trying to used the black sagem router supplied by sky i was on the internet briefly las night but now i cannot get connected to the internet via my wireless laptop. when i try to surf the net the fourth light flashes amber briefly then go offf does not go to a solid green light my lap lap says not connected when i try to surf has anybody got any ideas please on what the probelm is

      To rule out wireless problems, can you connect by ethernet?

      My isp is sky was virgin

      Is your connection made through wi-fi or through cable ... if it is wi-fi then check out the router or just reset the router once and disable all the connection ... just refreshing all the task just enable all the connection.

      If the fourth light is going amber then going out completely it may be a sync issue. How are you connecting the router to your telephone socket, is it in the main socket, are all used sockets on the line filtered and do you have sky tv on the line or any extension leads?
